eCape, Inc. launches new Social Media Setup service

SOUTH DENNIS, MA -- eCape, Inc., a Cape Cod-based website design and marketing company, recently launched a new social media setup service for local businesses who want to have a presence on Facebook and Twitter. 

"The massive growth in Twitter and Facebook usage in 2009 has made it imperative that businesses have a presence on these sites.  It's no longer enough just to have a website.   Facebook is rapidly replacing traditional email as the primary form of personal electronic communication.   Together, Facebook and Twitter have over 250 million users and the net effect is that they comprise a 2nd World Wide Web," says Julie Brooks, CEO of eCape, inc. 

In response to requests from its website design customers and advertisers, eCape's new social media setup service will set up the Twitter and Facebook pages for a local business, with its logos, descriptive text, photos, and other media.  In addition, eCape will get the business started with 5 fans for its Facebook page and 5 followers on Twitter.  

A business owner does need to have personal profiles on either Facebook or Twitter in order for his/her business to have a presence on these sites.   Business owners who do happen to have a personal Facebook profile  will be able to have their Facebook status updates automatically update their Twitter accounts.  

Owners will receive the web addresses for their Facebook and Twitter pages, usernames and passwords for logging in, and simple directions for updating their pages with specials and other news about their company.    The price for this service is a one-time fee of $275. 

eCape recently set up The Cape Cod Carpet Man, a Sandwich-based shop-at-home carpet installation service, on Facebook and Twitter.
