Deadline for deliveries (to participate) is Tuesday, November 24th
Call or email to sign up
The Community Action Committee of Cape Cod & Islands needs your help. Please consider adopting a family that needs a turkey and all the fixings to make their holiday one to be thankful for.
To adopt a family to receive a Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner, please fill a disposable aluminum roasting pan or box with the fixings on the list below and purchase a frozen turkey (15-25 pounds). Gift card valued at $25 from a supermarket can be substituted for the frozen turkey.
- Fresh vegetables: potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, butternut squash

- Stuffing: one box seasoned
- Packaged mixes: cake mix, rolls, breads
- Gravy: packaged mix or in cans
- Cranberry sauce
- Canned vegetables: green beans, peas, sweet potatoes
- Home baked breads/desserts are optional
- Optional Brazilian foods: Bag of white long grain rice, canned fruit salad, Jello, canned or dry beans.
Please place the fixings in the pan/box and cover with plastic wrap or insert into plastic bag.
The deadline for the delivery of your donation is Tuesday, November 24th at the Community Action Committee of Cape Cod & Islands headquarters located at 115 Enterprise Raod in Hyannis, opposite the former Linens and Things behind the Cape Cod Mall.
The Community Action Committee of Cape Cod & Islands is a non profit agency which hosts the Turkey Program for the families enrolled in its programs for self sufficiency who are in need.
We have 200 families on our list and hope you will be able to adopt one or more--whatever is most feasible for you or your group.
Please call 508-771-1727 to sign up to sponsor a Thanksgiving Turkey dinner or email Claudia Robinson.
