8th Annual Merci D'Avance Dance--a Haiti Project Fundraiser this Saturday in Eastham

Dance benefits the Village of Matènwa, Haiti through the local "Haiti Project"

Help needed more than ever in light of Tuesday's devastating earthquake

It's time for Cape Cod's own Haiti Project annual dance fundraiser.  After Tuesday''s major earthquake, the organizers of the event, Ellen Lebow, Lisa Brown and Sky Freyss-Cole have not had much news from their friends in Haiti, but they do know they are going to need our help more than they have ever needed it before.

Every year, this event ensures that the small, rural community of Matènwa, Haiti, continues the economic and social development that is so crucial to their survival.

"Everything our friends in Matènwa get, comes from Port-au-Prince and without that infrastrucure, we can't imagine how they will get the bare essentials to live." - Ellen LeBow

"Please come support our event and the people of Haiti," says LeBow. "Everything our friends in Matènwa get, comes from Port-au-Prince and without that infrastrucure, we can't imagine how they will get the bare essentials to live. We will accept donations of any scope, for any purpose, especially earthquake relief, and of course, for our 12-year support of the town and people of Matènwa."

Join the party on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 6pm to midnight at Messina Restaurant on Route 6 in Eastham for an opportunity to eat delicious food, dance, catch up on Matènwa's latest achievements and contribute to the project's efforts in Haiti.
