Cape Care Coalition State House hearing scheduled for January 20th

Get on the bus!

As we were ringing in the New Year we got the news that the Cape Care Community Health Trust bill (HB 4138) will receive a hearing by the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 1 pm at the State House, Room B-1.

Cape Care Coalition's winter quarterly meeting will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 9:30am-11am at the Harwich Community Center on Oak Street. See details here.

The bill is the first step towards enabling legislation for the creation of Cape Care. We'll have a panel of Cape Care experts making the presentation to the committee, but we've been advised that filling the room with supporters can be as important as the testimony we give.

We're planning to take a bus to Boston and hope you'll be on it with us! We're ordering new Cape Care t-shirts so you can wear your support and be visible in the hearing room.
