Latham Centers in Brewster elects two to Board of Directors

Victoria Dunnington and Barbara P. Swaebe elected to Board

Latham Centers, Inc., a Cape-based not-for-profit serving children and adults with emotional, developmental and physical disabilities, announced last week the election of Victoria “Vicki” Dunnington of Marshfield and Barbara P. Swaebe of Yarmouth Port to its Board of Directors.  Each will initially serve three-year terms on Latham’s community-based board on the heels of the agency earning full, "fast track" accreditation by the prestigious, international Council on Accreditation.

Ms. Dunnington has been the sole proprietor of Phoenix Catering, Inc., a full-service catering business serving the South Shore and Cape Cod.  She began her catering career in 2001 as Catering Manager for Jubilee Café and Catering in Plymouth, MA.  Prior to catering, Ms. Dunnington worked in a variety of roles, including Consulting for the Town of Chilmark, a Senior Support Representative for Data National Corporation in Norwell, and as a Clerk for the Town of Marshfield.

Ms. Swaebe is a retired college professor who taught management, marketing and merchandising and last served as Marketing Chair of the Cape Cod Community College Businesses Department. She also served as a grant evaluator for the US Department of Education. Prior to teaching, Ms. Swaebe worked for 25 years in retail merchandising and management for Filenes and RH White Co.  A third of her life she has been spent living and exploring Cape Cod.
