Harwich Roundabout to Be Operational on April 3rd, 2006

The newly constructed roundabout at the intersection of Queen Anne Road and Route 39 in Harwich will be fully operational on April 3, according to Greg O’Brien of the Stony Brook Group, a consultant to the Stop & Shop Companies. The project is part of the road mitigation work for the expansion of the Stop & Shop store on Route 137 in East Harwich.

Work began on the roundabout last year. Pavement markings and signage will be installed on Monday, April 3 and additional curbing will begin on April 4, along with completion of the island, making the roundabout fully operational.

As work progresses, additional detours will be implemented on an as-needed basis. Plan for periodic delays.

Information on the project from its beginning is available here.
