The Weather Channel, Live from Chatham Wednesday
Tune in Wednesday, June 21st when the Weather Channel is live from Chatham
News from the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce:
THE WEATHER CHANNEL, with a potential audience of 80 million viewers, will broadcast live via satellite from Chatham on Wednesday, June 21 from 7am-9am, 2pm-4pm and 9pm-11pm (times are approximate).
This incredible opportunity resulted from the Cape Cod Chamber's and its PR firm's, MPDC's, ongoing dialogue with the media. The Weather Channel will also broadcast from Death Valley, CA the same day. The broadcast was organized as the station's kick- off to summer.
Included in the broadcast will be interviews with Chamber CEO Wendy Northcross, representative(s) of Chatham Bars Inn, and other Chatham tourism partners. Also included will be several popular Chatham landmarks, such as Chatham Squire, Chatham Light, the Chatham Break, Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge and Chatham Main Street, as well as some of the town's glorious and popular beaches, ponds and harbors. The Weather Channel crew's accommodations are being hosted by Chamber member Chatham Bars Inn.
Renowned metorologist Mike Bettes will host the broadcasts. Said Weather Channel Producer Jim Gagne, "We want to show Cape Cod as "THE" place to be this summer."
Comcast customers can view The Weather Channel on Channel 47, while Adelphia subscribers can view it at Channel 57. Satellite customers should consult their local listings.
NOTE: At release time, these sites, venues and individuals were under consideration, but not yet finalized. The actual sites, venues and interviews being broadcast are subject to change due to weather, traffic, and other considerations and are the prerogative of the producer and The Weather Channel.
