Alliance vs. CPN view of the future
With one it's the view, and with the other it's the vision
By Walter Brooks
Nothing could better illustrate the dichotomy of the two Cape Wind farm advocacy groups as greatly as their suggested "postcards" for Cape Cod.

The "postcards" offered by the two group best illustrate their views of the future of Cape Cod.
Two years ago the Clean Power Now grassroots organization mailed their vision to thousands of local residents.
Today's Cape Cod Times has the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound's vision on page 6B.
Their "postcard" in today's newspaper is on the right above one from CPN. You can view their ad in today's newspaper here.
The Alliance's presentations have always been open to dispute, and this one is no exception. The two wildly differing views may be explained by the financing behind each.
The Alliance is largely funded by oil company executives and seasonal residents of Osterville whose homes overlook Nantucket Sound.
The Clean Power Now group is funded by private donations cape residents whose homes do not look out on Nantucket Sound and grants.
Several recent local and statewide polls indicate the later view is shared by most Cape Codders.
