Art Exhibit in Cotuit Highlights Bond Between Animals and People

Arts Foundation of Cape Cod & the International Fund for Animal Welfare co-present exhibit

"Our Shared World" highlights animal-human bond

CENTERVILLE, MA – The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC) and the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) are pleased to co-present the photographic art exhibit Our Shared World this May at the Cotuit Center for the Arts in Cotuit, Massachusetts.

The multi-media installation will showcase IFAW’s award-winning photographic images of animals and people in a variety of habitats from around the globe. This educational exhibit is designed to appeal to viewers of all ages while underscoring the need for animal protection and conservation.

Our Shared World represents a unique opportunity to bring world-class photography with an international, multicultural perspective to the Cape Cod community,” said Margaret Van Sciver, Board President of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. “The gallery space at the Cotuit Center for the Arts is an ideal location to display this exciting exhibit.”

“IFAW is proud to partner with the Arts Foundation on this joint educational art exhibit,” said IFAW President Fred O’Regan. “Our Shared World will highlight the fact that animals, like great art, are part of our heritage. Both presume a higher calling outside ourselves and both are in need of our protection.”

Our Shared World will be presented by IFAW and the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod from May 14 to May 27 at the Cotuit Center for the Arts Monday through Friday 10 am to 4 pm and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. For more details, call IFAW at 508-744-2068 or the AFCC at 508-362-0066.
