4Cs Massage Therapy Students Want to Get Their Hands on You
Cape Cod Community College Massage Therapy Students Offer a Chance to Really Relax
Students studying in Cape Cod Community College’s Massage Therapy program are ready to take the “kinks” out of over-stressed bodies as they welcome clients into their clinic this Spring. Under the direction of Program Coordinator Virginia Riordan, students are offering three types of therapeutic massage in the late afternoon and early evening two days a week, and it’s time for the public to make appointments.
Each Wednesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., students will perform short sessions of foot reflexology (1/2 hour) or specific area treatment (1/2 hour) for a $15 fee; a short seated chair massage (15 minutes) of the head, neck, and shoulders, for a $5 fee; and a full-body, one-hour massage for $25.
Over the past few weeks students have been preparing to welcome the public by offering members of the campus community “sample” massages, and they’ve been getting rave reviews. Anytime the word started spreading around campus that “they’re back,” the response was immediate.
Walk-in service is discouraged. The public is asked to make an appointment and indicate the type of massage being requested. This way, students can work with faculty to be even more prepared when the client arrives for the appointment.
Please call the program office at: 1-508-362-2131 x 4346, to make appointments or to get more information about the program and services.
