Cape Cod Community College Available Scholarships Announced
Scholarships available to returning and incoming students
WEST BARNSTABLE - Over 125 scholarships are available to current and incoming students of Cape Cod Community College ranging from $250 to $4,000 each. The deadline for applications is Monday, April 30 at 4 p.m.
The complete list of awards, application and detailed information is now available on-line from the College website’s homepage at www.capecod.edu or click on 2007 Scholarships & Awards in the center of the page under the College’s list of up-coming events.
Copies also are available on campus at the CCCC Financial Aid office located on the first floor of the Nickerson Administration Building, and at the CCCC Educational Foundation office located on the third floor of the College’s Wilkens Library.
Cape Cod Community College strongly encourages all in-coming and current students to review the list and apply for funds to support their advancement in higher education. During this year’s Evening of Excellence ceremonies on May 23, 2007, the College expects to award in excess of $225,000 in scholarship funds, a significant increase over last year’s awards and well on the way to the quarter-of-a-million dollar mark that the College expects to reach in a year or so. These funds are pure grants. Students will not be required to pay these funds back as they would a typical student loan.
To request information by mail or for any questions, please call 502-362-2131 ext. 4870 and leave your name, phone, and address. Your call will be returned, shortly.
The Scholarship Committee adheres to the following procedures:
If the student does not use the awarded funds by June of the following year after receiving the scholarship (i.e. June 2008), the student will automatically forfeit the award. The student may appeal this policy by submitting, in writing, his/her specific request to use these funds at a future date with up to a one-year deferment (June 2009). This request must be forwarded to the Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation prior to the forfeit time.
