Jr. Tech Workshops Offered: SpaceWorks & NASA Design Challenge
SpaceWorks and NASA Design Challenge are ready for takeoff!
Students in grades 5-7 sign up for one...or BOTH!
BARNSTABLE - Have you ever wondered what it's like to be an astronaut? Did you know that President Bush has set a goal for NASA to return astronauts to the Moon by 2018?
Your introduction to Space exploration begins with SpaceWorks, and continues with NASA Design Challenge...In SpaceWorks, students will utilize their science and math skills to design a mission patch of their own.
In NASA Design Challenge, students will design a prototype model of the future Moon rover. They will test and evaluate their designs, make modifications, and prepare prototypes for Moon Rover races.
Instructor Carolyn Good is a teacher-trainer at Harvard University/McAuliffe Challenger Center.

Saturday, September 29th from 9am-3 pm

Cost is $95 for non-members, $75 for members.
NASA Design Challenge
Saturday, October 13th from 9am-3pm

Workshop enrollment is non-refundable unless a two-week notice is provided before the date of the workshop.

The Junior Tech Program reaches out to students from grades 5-12 with the goal of exposing, encouraging, building and generating aspiration for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) topics and developing a life long interest.
These workshops are brought to you by the Cape Cod Technology Council, Inc. and the Cape Cod Community College, a partnership helping technology and business thrive on the Cape, Islands, and SE MA.
