Travel Advisory: Sagamore Bridge Repairs
Travel Restrictions for the Sagamore Bridge
From the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce
The US Army Corp of Engineers will be making repairs to an expansion joint on the Sagamore Bridge during the week of October 22-26, 2007.
Weather permitting, work will begin on Monday, October 22 at 9am and is expected to be completed by noon on Friday, October 26. Travel over the bridge will be limited to one lane in each direction for 24 hours a day. No wide loads will be permitted to cross the span.
State and local police will be present to assist with traffic needs. Electronic message boards on both sides of the canal will keep motorists informed about traffic conditions and repair progress.
