Cape Cod Community College announces auditions on January 31, February 1 and February 2, 2008
WEST BARNSTABLE - Cape Cod Community College announces auditions for its Spring production of Enchanted April by Matthew Barber from the novel by Elizabeth Von Arnim. Enchanted April is a delightful romantic comedy that was the Outstanding New American Play of 2003 and a Tony nominee for Best Play.
Roles are available for 5 women and 3 men.
Auditions will be in the Studio Theater, ground floor of the Tilden Arts Center on Thursday, January 31 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.; Friday, February 1 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.; and Saturday, February 2 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Auditions will consist of readings from the script.
The play is set just after World War One and concerns two London housewives who decide to rent a villa in Italy for a holiday away from their bleak marriages. They recruit two very different English women to share the cost and the experience. There, among the wisteria blossoms and the Mediterranean sunshine, all four bloom again – rediscovering themselves in ways that they, and we, could never have expected.
For more information call David Allen, Director of Theater, at (508) 362-2131 ext. 4390. Visit the Tilden Arts Center web page here. Cape Cod Community College is located at 2240 Iyannough Road (Route 132) in West Barnstable.
