Sandwich Women's Club announces their biggest fundraiser of the year
Dancing with the Sandwich Stars 2008

The Sandwich Women’s Club is pleased to announce their biggest fundraiser of the year “Dancing with the Sandwich Stars 2008” to be held at 7:30 pm on Friday, April 4th, 2008 in the Emerald Room at the Cape Codder in Hyannis.
Six local “celebrity” couples have made the leap into this latest SWC endeavor and will be ready to kick up their feet and compete after being provided with professional dance lessons. Deborah Israel, professional dance instructor, is providing the lessons as well as the choreography for the couples. The club has also enlisted a few local “celebrity” judges to help the audience choose the winners.
The celebrity dancers include Annemarie and Michael Allen (Pastor, Lighthouse Christian Fellowship), Ellen and Bob Guerin (Sandwich School Committee), Melissa and Tom Keyes (Sandwich Selectman), Mark and Tammy McDevitt (President, Sandwich Mom’s Club), Mike and Michele “Mikki” McKeen (Owner, Great Lengths Hair Salon), Kathy and Stu Parsons (Sandwich Public Library).
This will be an evening of fun filled entertainment, along with a dessert buffet, cash bar and dancing to DJ Marc Israel. The club will also be conducting a silent auction with one of a kind goods and services donated from local merchants throughout the Cape.
The cost of tickets will be $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Tickets will be available for purchase at Great Lengths Hair Salon, Sportsite Health & Racquetball Club, Snow Goose Shops, Community Bank, and the Sandwich Public Library. For more ticket information, please go to their website www.sandwichwomensclub.org or call 508-888-0182. All proceeds from this event will be distributed to local charities supported by the SWC which includes the Sandwich Food Pantry, Council on Aging, Sandwich School and Public Libraries, Safe Harbor, Children’s Cove, A Baby Center and many more.
The Sandwich Women’s Club (founded in 1970 and a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs) is a non-profit organization dedicated to charitable, civic, and educational purposes. Each year the club sponsors several community service projects, fundraising efforts, educational projects and social activities.
