Activities and events for families and kids during school vacation (April 21-25)
The week of April 21 through April 25 is school vacation for most Cape kids. Worried about the little natives getting restless? You won't have to look to far to find fun activities and events for the kids or for you to enjoy with your kids.

THE CAPE COD MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY
The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is offering several programs during the week free to members and free to non-members with admission. All programs are at 2pm. Choose from:
- Wed, 4/23: Bats, Bats, Bats
- Thu, 4/24: Year of the Cicadas
- Fri, 4/25: Do Whales Have Bellybuttons?
- Sat, 4/26: Birds on Land and Sea
Also, enjoy a family field walk Wednesday and Thursday at 10am and Friday and Saturday at 12pm. While you are there, check out the Osprey on the museum's super-cool OspreyCam.

THE GREEN BRIAR NATURE CENTER & JAM KITCHEN
The Thorton W. Burgess Society and the Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen are offering a wide selection of events for children and families of all ages. Kids activities are broken out in several age groups and cover many nature-related topics.
Special events include the presentation "Revolutionary War Doctor" on Monday the 21st, and an "Earth Day, Every Day" Celebration on Tuesday.

THE CAPE COD MARITIME MUSEUM
Ready for some Swashbuckling Family Fun? Then head on over to the Cape Cod Maritime Museum! The whole family is invited for games, activities and crafts.
The Cape Cod Maritime Museum is located at 135 South Street, Hyannis. Visit their site here or call 508-775-1723 for more information and hours of operation.
WELLFLEET BAY WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, part of the Mass. Audubon Society, has got an impressive list of outdoor nature activities for children of varying ages and parents and their children. Programs for the young ones include peeps, mummifrogs and bullfrogs and there are several different hikes and activities planned for families.
The Sanctuary is just off Route 6 in South Wellfleet (near the Drive-Thru). Visit the website here for call 508-349-2615 for info and program hours and times.

HARWICH JUNIOR THEATRE
The Harwich Junior Theatre is presenting Little Women now through May 4, 2008. Performances are at 7:30pm Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm (no performance on 5/3). Special vacation matinees are scheduled at 2pm on Saturday the 19th and 26th.
Two other special vacation week performances are planned:
- One Nose, Two Nose, Red Nose Who Know? presented by the Seaside Circus Clowns on Wed., 4/23 & Thu., 4/24 at 2pm, tickets: $12
- Kathleen Healy Children's Folk Concert, Tue., 4/22 at 11am, tickets are $5 at the door.
