CHAMP Homes Looking for Cyclists & Sponsors for the Last Gasp in September
CHAMP Homes is looking for cyclists and sponsors of the Last Gasp, September 14th, 2008
HYANNIS - The eighteenth annual Last Gasp Bike, Boat, 'n Bake will take place this coming September 14, 2008. The Last Gasp is a three part, day long, fundraising extravaganza intended to help raise money for several diversified nonprofit organizations, including CHAMP Homes, headquartered on Cape Cod and the Islands. The day consists of a 62 mile bike ride from Sandwich to Provincetown, a Cape Cod Bay cruise following the ride, and an authentic Cape Cod clambake to end the day. Those who are not interested in participating in the bike ride but would still like to support The Last Gasp bikers can ride the Last Gasp party bus.
There is a $75 registration fee and $300 minimum funds raised for those wishing to participate in the Last Gasp bike race. The price includes beverages and snacks along the route, lunch at the Surf Club in Provincetown, Cape Cod Bay Cruise back to Sandwich, Authentic Cape Cod Clambake, a commemorative 2007 Last Gasp T-Shirt and a complimentary Pasta Salute admission on September 13. Space is limited, therefore only the first 300 registrants can be guaranteed a spot on the boat returning to Sandwich from Provincetown, everyone else will be transported by bus.
Those opting to ride the party bus instead will have a registration fee of $60 due by September 1. No fundraising is required but donations are gratefully accepted. Price includes the Pasta Salute, bus ride, T-shirt, and clambake.
Big Wheels are riders who generate $1,000 or more. Other sponsor levels of $2,500 and 5,000 are also available. Contact Paul Hebert at (508) 771-0885 for more information.
CHAMP Homes' Director Paul Hebert hopes that there will be a significant increase in the number of individuals who'd like to participate in this event by competing in raising the most funds.
Charities and churches from across the Cape are invited to raise funds for their own mission by participating as an ally under the Champ Homes banner without the cost or responsibility. A small percentage of the funds they raise is shared with Champ Homes, so many good organizations can benefit from the alliance.
More information about CHAMP Homes, the Last Gasp or pledge forms can be obtained by calling (508) 771-0885 or through an email to hfac@champhouse.org.
