Falmouth Chamber Launches New Business Innovation Group & "Green Series"
Falmouth Chamber Launches New Business Innovation Group in October
T
his coming October, the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce will launch the Business Innovation Group, its newest breakfast seminar series. The focus for 2008-2009 will be “going green”, as the Chamber’s Falmouth Green Business Initiative gets underway with the introduction of the Business Innovation Group. Each month’s event will feature a different guest speaker, eco-friendly theme, and the opportunity to recycle a different type of product.
The inaugural session of the “Green Series” will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Coonamessett Farm (277 Hatchville Road, East Falmouth.) Come learn about renewable energy technology, cost-saving measures, and steps your business can take to reduce its environmental footprint. Bring any old or hard-to-dispose-of computer equipment that you wish to recycle! (One item per person, please!) Helping us with disposal is the ever community-minded Cavossa Disposal team.
The series’ first featured guest speaker will be Kevin Galligan, Energy Efficiency Program Manager at the Cape Light Compact. He has over twenty–six years of energy industry experience, including engineering project management with Duke Energy. Kevin has chaired the Town of Orleans Wind Energy Committee and serves as a Board Member of the National Energy Education Development Project. He is also an Adjunct Instructor at Cape Cod Community College, where he teaches energy efficiency and conservation as part of a National Science Foundation grant to promote and develop a trained workforce to install renewable energy systems on Cape Cod.
To RSVP for this event, please call the Falmouth Chamber at (508) 548-8500 or email info@falmouthchamber.com.
