4C's "Baby Shower" to Celebrate the Arrival of "Baby Sim" at the Health Sciences Teaching Center

Life-sized, computer driven "baby" arrives at Cape Cod Community College

T

he Department of Health Sciences Nursing/Allied Health Teaching Center, is holding a Debut/Baby Shower for BabySim, a life-sized, computer driven "baby" that will be used as a teaching aid for students. The College received the very life-like infant simulator through a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education.

The welcome event will be held on Thursday, November 20th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Nursing & Allied Health Learning Resource Center where a demonstration of the life-like infant patient simulator will take place.

At this Open House/Baby Shower, attendees are asked to bring new or gently-used gifts appropriate for a newborn. These will be donated to A Baby Center in Hyannis.

Cape Cod Health Care representatives, state and local officials will join in the celebration. Look in later issues for more details of this event.
