Cape Cod Chapter of the ABWA Organizes Clothing Drive in Hyannis to Benefit Scholarships
Benefits Cape & Island women pursuing high education
HYANNIS - The Cape Cod Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) is organizing a clothing drive to benefit its Scholarship fund.
The drop off trailer is located at Macy's in Hyannis, on the Rte. 28 side of the Cape Cod Mall, outside the Men's store. The trailer is colorful and eye catching and is clearly marked. All clothing, shoes and linens are accepted.
The donations generated through this clothing drive will benefit the scholarship fund. Scholarships are typically awarded in August in support of deserving women who live on the Cape or Islands, must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and must be at least a second year student in their program. Last year, the ABWA was able to award three scholarships of $1,500 each.
For more information about the scholarship program or the ABWA, contact Chapter President Denise Dever, write to ABWA, P.O. Box 958, Barnstable, MA 02630, or visit the Chapter's website here.
