Local author & newspaper columnist donates quilt & autographed book to benefit library
WEST YARMOUTH - Local author and Cape Cod Times columnist North Cairn has donated one of her
handmade quilts to raise money for the West Yarmouth Library Association. In a recent column, North wrote about making quilts in her cherished cottage near Lewis Bay.
This special quilt, in the ?bear paw? pattern, along with an autographed copy of her book By Monomoy Light : Nature and Healing in an Island Sanctuary will be given away in a drawing held by the West Yarmouth Library Association.
The book and quilt together will make a special gift for someone for the long winter nights ahead.
Tickets are available at the West Yarmouth Library for $1/each, 6 for $5.
The drawing will be held at the library on Friday, December 12th during the Holiday Book & Bake Sale. The Book & Bake Sale, from 11am to 4pm, features special baked treats and bestsellers for sale. Stop by and enjoy refreshments in front of the cozy fireplace.
