Cape Cod's First Pet Food Pantry to Hold Fundraiser
Proceeds from Fun "Fur" All benefit For The Love of a Pet, Inc.
HYANNIS - Fun "Fur" All, a fundraiser to benefit For The Love of a Pet, Inc. the Cape’s first pet food pantry, will be held on December 14th from 1pm to 5pm. Classic Kitchens at 127 Airport Road in Hyannis has generously donated the use of their building, enabling the pet food pantry to receive 100% of the profits.
For The Love of a Pet, Inc. was established to provide food, supplies, education and support to pet owners experiencing financial challenges. Their goal is to keep and maintain the pets in a healthy home environment, rather then re-home or surrender them to shelters.
Pet owners who use this valuable service are encouraged to volunteer their time or skills in turn helping other pet owners.
The fundraiser promises to be fun "fur" everyone, with food sampling, unique crafts, demonstrations and a raffle for three great prizes. Raffle prizes include a diamond watch donated by Hannoush Jewelers, a hard to find Wii video game console, and a two night stay at the Seacrest Resort in Falmouth.
Tickets are $10 each or 3/$25. Tickets are available in advance at Agway on Route 6A in Sandwich and at the Grateful Dog at 58B Corporation Street in Hyannis. Both stores are also drop-off locations for donations. There will also be a balloon pop where each balloon will contain prizes (valued between $25 and $500) donated by very supportive local merchants.
Bring a camera, as Santa will be there for the kids!
Doors will open on Sunday, December 14th at 1pm. Pet food or monetary donations are greatly appreciated and will be accepted at the door. Please join For The Love of a Pet, Inc. for an afternoon of fun, food and shopping for a "furry good cause".
Both monetary and supply donations are accepted. Monetary donations may be made online or checks made out to For the Love of a Pet, Inc. and mailed to Citizen's Bank, Attn: Lisa, PO Box 1779, Sandwich, MA 02563. Checks should be marked FOR DEPOSIT ONLY on the back.
