Citizen's Legislative Seminar was established in 1976 through a joint effort of the Massachusetts Senate and the University of Massachusetts. Participants are selected from a wide variety of fields, representing both the public and private sectors.
Sessions begin with a presentation to the Seminar given by two faculty members, usually a Senator and a Representative, on the topic of the day. After a brief intermission for coffee and conversation, participants break up into small groups led by a legislator faculty member for informal discussion.
Applications must be in by February 6th.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Laura Tassinari in Senate President Murray's office at 617-722-1500.
