WHAT in Wellfleet raises $4,000 for fuel assistance program
"Yule for Fuel" holiday program a huge success
WELLFLEET ? enthusiastic audiences, generous musicians, and the support of four Outer Cape fuel companies helped Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (WHAT) raise $4,000 for the Lower Cape Outreach Council?s fuel assistance program.
Broadcast on the Radio
WHAT?s holiday variety show, "Yule for Fuel," ran four consecutive Saturdays from November 29 to December 20 on WHAT?s Julie Harris Stage. The show, conceived and produced by Stephen Russell, was a veritable showcase of Cape Cod?s musical talent. For those who missed the live performance, WOMR rebroadcast a recording of each show during the holiday season.
Sponsors & Performers
"It is such a pleasure to see people in the arts stepping forward to help with pressing problems like hunger and homelessness," Larry Marsland, Director of Development and Public Relations for the Lower Cape Outreach Council
Sponsors of the program included four Outer Cape fuel companies: Days Propane, Cape Cod Oil Company, Marcy Oil Company and Snows Home & Garden. Without their financial support and the generosity of the musicians the event would not have been such a wild success.
