Returned Peace Corps Volunteers from all over Cape Cod to tell their stories

Learn more about the toughest job you'll ever love

WEST BARNSTABLE - Ever wonder what it is like to be a Peace Corps Volunteer?  Why would anyone commit two years of their life to work overseas?  How did it change them? Did you ever consider being a Peace Corps Volunteer?

When President Kennedy instituted the Peace Corps he knew that one of the most valuable assets produced by the project would be the experiences Peace Corps Volunteers brought home with them.  They could tell us how they lived, what they did and what people from foreign countries thought of the United States, its people and its government.  He knew that returned Peace Corps Volunteers could be a bridge to foreign cultures and they would help us understand each other.

Join us when Returned Peace Corps Volunteers from all over Cape Cod come and tell their stories.  They will tell you about the friends they made, the difficulties they had, the frightening times and the fun times that made it all worthwhile.  Come, listen, ask questions, learn about foreign people and find out what it is like to be a Peace Corps Volunteer.

The event will take place on Monday, March 2nd at 7pm in the Studio Theater of the Tilden Center at Cape Cod Community College.  The campus is on Route 132 in West Barnstable.
