Brewster Ladies' Library celebrates National Library Week April 12-18, 2009
Worlds connect @ your library: celebrate National Library Week at the Brewster Ladies’ Library, April 12-18
Amnesty Day is Wednesday, April 15
It’s National Library Week, a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities nationwide and the perfect time to discover how worlds connect @ your library. First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country.
The Brewster Ladies’ Library is celebrating National Library Week by holding an Amnesty Day for all patrons with overdue fines on Wednesday, April 15.
Patrons who have fines for overdue library materials may have them removed in exchange for a donation of non-perishable food items that will be given to a local food pantry, The Family Pantry. The Family Pantry is a non-denominational, not for profit organization that provides an average of $500,000 worth of food to over 3,000 Cape families each year.
Please note that this amnesty offer does not apply to fines for lost library materials.
Please consider making a non-perishable food item donation at the Library, even if you have no fines!
For more information, visit the Brewster Ladies’ Library at 1822 Main St, call 508-896-3913, or see the library’s Web site at http://www.brewsterladieslibraryorg.
