Free COA Cinema: Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal) is an extraordinarily talented culinary ingénue. When he and his family are displaced from their native India and settle in a quaint French village, they decide to open an Indian eatery. However, Madame Mallory (Helen Mirren),
the proprietress of an acclaimed restaurant just 100 feet away, strongly objects. War erupts between the two establishments, until Mallory recognizes Kadam's impressive epicurean gifts and takes him under her wing.

Van departs from the COA.

Seniors are invited to visit the store for a variety of different events, samplings and educational classes on each Wednesday. The Chatham COA will be offering transportation to and from Senior Day on February 18. The event begins at 10 am and the COA van will leave around 9 am. Space is limited. On Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 1:00PM, the Bourne Council on Aging, 239 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, will be hosting Dr. Ken Leaman for a program on "Functional Balance". Dr Leaman is a Physical Therapist and Outpatient Rehab Director for Cape Heritage & Plymouth RHCC. This will be an educational program concerning the function of balance, different aspects of balance, how it is measured and how balance impairments are addressed by physical therapists. The program will be followed by a question and answer period. Refreshments will be available.

breakfast by Chef Joyce Michaud will be offered for $6.45 per person. This month’s program is "What's New at ISWM" presented by the staff of Bourne's Integrated Solid Waste Management facility. Three Eastham residents to be honored.

Join us for a musical program and celebration in honor of Eastham's Boston Post Cane recipients:

  • Roel Hoogeboom, 99 on January 14
  • Russ Moore, 99 on February 12
  • Vivienne B. Demuth, 99 on March 8

We will honor Roel, Russ and Vivienne with delicious food and a musical performance by Julie Charland. Following the program, we will serve clam chowder, dessert and beverages. Cost is $2. RSVP and pre-payment required by noon on Friday, February 13.

In this presentation, learn about why sea turtles and marine mammals strand, what's involved in rehabilitating them for release back into the wild and what you can do to help. Kathy Zagzebski, president of NMLC will discuss the center's wildlife rehabilitation, science and education programs.

The Bourne Council on Aging, 239 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, will be hosting “A Medicare Open Enrollment Update Program”, presented by the Cape & Islands Regional SHINE Program. The program will be offered on Wednesday, November 12, from 10:30-11:30AM, and Thursday, November 20, from 5:00- 6:30PM. The Medicare Open Enrollment period is from October 15 to December 7. This is the time to review your coverage and medications, and enroll or change your Medicare coverage.

Catch the first half of the Patriots game.
