Have lunch and root for the Red Sox.

Wednesday, August 13.

Lunch is at noon and game starts at 12:35 p.m.

Join us for hot dogs, salads, chips and dessert. Watch and cheer for the Red Sox with everyone. Program is free to Sandwich senior citizens. (We are hoping to have the ability to project onto the large screen.)

Registration is required – Call Sandwich COA at 508-888-4737. Deadline to sign up and pay is Wednesday, August 6.

On Friday, July 11, 2014 at 10:30 AM, the Commemorating Our History Group will meet at the Bourne Senior Center, 239 Main Street, Buzzards Bay. This month will feature Part II of a special presentation by Capt. Daryl Smith, USNR, Retired, on the History of Aircraft Carriers. Part II will focus on aircraft carriers from WWII to the present.

The program is open to the public and all are welcome to attend. For more information, call the Bourne Senior Center at 508-759-0653.

This month’s program is “The Sun, Earth and Moon”, a survey of the heavenly bodies; their origins, how they influence each other and our everyday lives.

Beginning on Wednesday, May 7th, the new program “Zumba and Boomers” will be offered at the Bourne Community Center gym, 239 Main Street, Buzzards Bay. The Zumba class, instructed by Natara Gray, will be offered on Wednesdays, from 5:30 pm. to 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $7 per class.

The Bourne Council on Aging, 239 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, is continuing the Writer’s Working Group Program on Friday, March 14th and 28th from 1:30pm to 3pm.

This is an ongoing discussion group which provides the opportunity for writers to have their work reviewed by others, as well as share their experience and ideas. If you are a beginner or an experienced writer, this group can provide support, ideas and direction.
