West Dennis woman bagged for the 7th time driving without a license

SOUTH YARMOUTH - Early Sunday morning, Yarmouth police officers arrested a woman for operating without a license, making this her seventh such offense. According to a Yarmouth police release, officers spotted 52-year-old Ruthanne Bennett of 371 Main Street in West Dennis parked in a "suspicious" area around 12:25 a.m.

Bennett was pulled over on Route 28.  She originally lost her license due to Class B drug possession, and has been arrested six other times driving illegally, according to police.

Bennett was out on bail for three counts of felony possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute when arrested Sunday, police said.

She was arraigned in Barnstable District Court Monday.
