Yarmouth police investigate Route 6A rollover

Officers arrive to find a BMW on its roof

YARMOUTH PORT - Yarmouth police are investigating a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred Wednesday night around 9:14 p.m. Officers responding to several 911 calls arrived to find a 2003 BMW on its roof near the entrance to the Bass River Rod and Gun Club on Route 6A in Yarmouth Port.

According to police, the drive was identified as 51-year-old Rose Rodriguez of Yarmouth Port. Ms. Rodriguez's injuries were not serious, police said.

Yarmouth Police Crash Investigator Gordon Gibbons determined that the car left the wet roadway and struck a utility pole due to excessive speed, police said.

Police did not indicate if Ms. Rodriguez will be facing any charges.
