Two guns stolen from West Yarmouth home

Yarmouth police are investigating daytime break-in

WEST YARMOUTH - Yarmouth police are investigating the theft of two firearms from a West Yarmouth home on Saturday. According to a Yarmouth police release, the resident ofa Beverly Road home called police around 7 p.m. to report that the theft had occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. that day.

A Benelli 18.5 inch 12 gauge Nova tactical shotgun and a Remington 26 inch .308 700SPS bolt action rifle with a scope were stolen from the home. Both weapons were legally owned and secured with trigger locks, according to police.

The suspect also stole a 14K gold chain with a Minnie Mouse pendant, police said.

Yarmouth police are investigating.
