50" flat screen TV, historic knives, stolen from South Yarmouth home

SOUTH YARMOUTH - Around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday night, Yarmouth police officers responded to a reported burglary at a home on Pond Street in South Yarmouth. According to a Yarmouth police release, the homeowner told officers that sometime during the day an unknown person had entered their home and stolen several objects of  value.

According to police, the burglar made off with a 50" Hitachi flat screen television, four WWII era knives, a white gold ring with blue and red stones and less than $5 in loose change.

The homeowner admitted to leaving their door unlocked, police said.

Yarmouth police are investigating.
