Tuesday - Rain changes to a brief period snow Tue am across interior MA/CT and in eastern MA/RI during the afternoon. Snow will be short-lived with a coating to 1" expected. Low risk for some 2" amounts in the higher terrain. Some slippery travel possible with falling temps.

Record Cold Tue Night & Wednesday - Northwest wind gusts of 25 to 40 mph will usher in record cold Tue night and Wed. Lows should be mainly in the teens to lower 20s. Highs Wed in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Wind chills between 5 below and 10 above late Tue night/Wed am.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. South wind 11 to 15 mph.
Tuesday
Rain, mainly after 11am. Patchy fog between 4pm and 5pm. Temperature rising to near 58 by 9am, then falling to around 40 during the remainder of the day. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 25 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

A chance of rain, mainly before 9pm. Patchy fog before 7pm. Otherwise, cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 25. Blustery, with a northwest wind 21 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunny, with a high near 34. Breezy, with a northwest wind 16 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph.
