Barnstable Police Officer Struck by Vehicle

From the Barnstable Police Department (verbatim):

A Barnstable Police Officer was struck by a vehicle while working a traffic detail on Newton Road near River Road in Marstons Mills at about 11:30 this morning. The Officer has been transported to a Boston area hospital via medflight with what appear to be non-life threatening leg and facial injuries.

The name of the injured Officer is being withheld pending family notification. The driver of the vehicle involved remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators from the Barnstable Police Traffic Division.
