Winter Afternoon Concert Series Continues in Wellfleet

Wellfleet, MA - Wellfleet Preservation Hall continues its tradition of presenting talented, eclectic local and touring artists this winter. A wide range of musical genres will be showcased including blues/folk, vocal standards, Celtic, classical, and more. Concerts begin at 3 or 4pm, ticket pricing varies.  For full lineup visit

The Quartett’s third full length concert of the 2019/2020 season will be an exploration of the prodigious experiences of child phenoms Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn and Samuel Barber, and how their unusual early abilities are reflected in the compositions of adulthood. On the program will be Mozart's String Quartet #14 in G Major ("Spring"), Mendelssohn's String Quartet #3 and Barber's Adagio from the String Quartet Op. 11.

From folk music and the Romantics to an appearance by the Grim Reaper, a New Year’s celebration, child prodigies, and another Intersections series concert considering hope and resilience in times of war, QG's third season is as fascinating as it is innovative.

The prolific and wildly talented Áine Minogue has been a staple of the Irish and Celtic music scene for many years, completing sixteen solo albums to date. Her music is gorgeous, ethereal, and a perfect match for the Hall’s intimate setting.

Born and raised in Borrisokane, County Tipperary, Ireland, Áine Minogue is an award-winning harpist, singer, arranger and composer who has entertained Presidents and Prime Ministers, as well as traveled extensively to perform at concerts across the United States and around the world. With over a dozen solo album recordings to her credit, Áine has been nominated for several awards for her work as a record producer.

Áine’s music, in varying styles including Celtic, World, Folk, Spiritual and New Age, has appeared on compilations for industry labels such as BMG, Decca, Universal, Virgin Records, Windham Hill and Putumayo. Many of these albums have topped Billboard Magazine’s World, New Age and Classical Charts for months at a time. In addition, she has completed extensive soundtrack work for PBS, NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, and MTV

Áine will be releasing a new album in April 2020, a compilation of O'Carolan compositions featuring Áine's harp playing with guest musicians will be released on April 24, 2020.



Wellfleet Preservation Hall is a unique Outer Cape community cultural center offering a diverse mix of performances, education, arts and cultural programs throughout the year. The Hall opening in May 2011 after meticulous renovations and has brought a renewed vibrancy to the heart of Wellfleet.
