Enjoy ‘Downton Abbey’ Tea at the Captain Farris House

South Yarmouth, MA - The Captain Farris House will host a special ‘Downton Abbey’ Afternoon tea on Saturday, March 14th.  

The Captain Farris House is the perfect venue to recreate the ‘Downton Abbey’ experience.  This special themed tea invites visitors to “dress up” for the occasion and choose from a superb selection of teas, an irresistible array of delicious, freshly made finger sandwiches, hot canapés, fresh baked British scones with house made Clotted Cream, Lemon Curd and/or Strawberry Preserves presented with an array of delectable desserts.

Visitors can choose from a variety of menu options:   

  • The Traditional  – for those who like tradition. Dainty finger sandwiches, scones and sweet treats with a strong cup of tea - $24.95 per person
  • The ‘Downton Abbey’ - for those who would like to add a bit of sparkle to the occasion.  Each afternoon tea will begin with a sparkling Darjeeling.  Hot canapés will be combined with the traditional afternoon tea combined with a selection of indulgent sweets paired with a 1920s themed mocktail - $34.95 per person

The ‘Downton Abbey’ Afternoon Tea service is available by reservation-only Saturday, March 14th from 11am – 1pm and 2pm - 4pm.  For reservations call 508-760-2818.

About the Captain Farris House:

This 10 room bed and breakfast is located in the historic Bass River Village of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts.  Built in 1845, the Captain Farris House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The Captain Farris House serves Afternoon Tea during November thru May as an additional service to the community.
