Ellie was born and raised in Paterson, NJ, the youngest of six children of Frank and Agnes Wieczorkowski, all of whom are now deceased. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. Ellie had many interests including various arts, having collaborated with the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the local school system to bring various works of art to grammar school students. She was a strong devotee of Julia Child and her cooking/baking approach. Ellie made the best pies and even developed a sugar free pie. She was fearless in the kitchen and would try any new recipe. Ellie was a top quilter with one of her quilts being selected by the Lang Company for the cover of their 1988 calendar. She was equally adept with needlepoint in her younger years. Ellie leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, John of Harwich Port. She gave birth to four children, two of whom are still living. Carol and her husband Ron of Harwich Port and John and his wife Sonia of Corpus Christi, Texas. Two daughters, Barbara and Ruth preceded her in death. She leaves behind five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be given to The Samaritans on Cape Cod and The Islands. Visiting hours at the Morris, O'Connor and Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main St. Harwich Center are from 2-4 pm on Friday, January 15 with a short service to follow at 4 pm.
